I'm entering this for an exhibition called 'Folklore'. so fingers crossed! I'm not usually very lucky at getting artwork into Bath exhibitions. Written in the background is the poem 'The Mon the hare i-met', and Middle English anonymous poem.Related content

I'm new to this site, and the posts about this piece are dated 2015... Maybe late, but congratulations on winning your own exhibition! Looking at your work displayed here, you deserve it!
In fact, your pictures were returned by a google search for "hares" and are what led me to this site and compelled me to get an account so I could see more.
This wonderful piece of art is simply charming. You said "painting." What is the medium?
Are your paintings for sale? By chance would this painting still be available? Or perhaps prints?
I find myself very fond of several of your rabbit works.

I use oil pastel, then layer with lino ink, then use a scraper tool to work into it.
If you go to my facebook page - vikki yeates illustration - I show exactly how I make some of the 'paintings' (it's just easier to call them that!).
I do sell my paintings, but this one is gone. I have quite a few new ones at the moment, as I'm joining in an art trail in Bath (UK) on 13th May.
I sell prints (£5 A4, plus p&p price depending on where you are).

I'm very proud to say that my painting won the most votes (voted by the public) and so I will be having MY OWN EXHIBITION for the first time ever. Excited and nervous - hope it won't be too soon! I need to paint like a maniac ha ha!
