And considering the genetic resources the Swarm has, there's no reason why a zergling wouldn't have legs like that.

haha one of the best things about the original StarCraft is that everybody saw the units differently... The models were there, but you had to put from your imagination to complete the picture. xD hahaha Some people argued Archons did not have legs, I'm sure they did.

Yeah cute little critter... then it takes a limb off the postman and you get sooed by the city and sent to jail, but on the good side more Zerg are coming to bust you out of jail... and devourer you whole...
by the way, just on an anatomical note, zerglings have hind legs only and pincer-like claws for for-legs, at least that is what i kenned from the sprite.
I do not mind waiting for SC2 for I hope that they will have all the kinks worked out of it when they let it to the world.
