Hello! I saw DTA Katakin contest (here: kamirahadopts.deviantart.com/a… ), and I couldn't help but participate! The little fluffkins is one of the cutest things I've ever seen x.x

I really enjoyed drawing this one. The pose was inspired by my dog Bailey, who is part Australian Cattle Dog, part Lab, and I'm pretty sure she's also part noodle. I thought it would be cute for him to be playing with the ribbon that was tied on his tail c: I hope I didn't mess up the anatomy by drawing him in this pose. Also, I wasn't sure what color the paw pads would be either, so if they have a specified color, please let me know and I'll change it! :'3

I would name this little nugget Cerys and he would be male. He's a shy little critter, hiding away in his nest tucked away into a hole in a tall tree. If you look very carefully, you might be able to see the edges of his nest protruding from the hole, with maybe a feather or crystal showing occasionally. His home faces the sunset, and he enjoys sitting out on the nearest branch and watching it happen.

He loves to play with the items he collects, though this cute side of him is unseen by anyone. He loves to bring flowers to his home, as he enjoys the sweet smell and the bright colors. If the flower dies, he will revive it using his tail. The flowers in his home glow very brightly from multiple areas where he has touched them to bring them back to life. He usually only ventures out to find more flowers or to forage for food.

Because he is very shy, he prefers the company of his flowers to the company of other living creatures. He wouldn't be opposed to allowing another Katakit into his home, as long as he has met said Katakin multiple times on neutral grounds. He is very cautious, and would rather be certain that another isn't hostile before giving them his trust. If he ever did become close with another Katakit, he would be fiercely loyal to them and protect them from any danger no matter the cost.

Once, when he was searching for flowers, he came across a human who had recently fallen unconscious in the forest. She had been ill, and wanted to see a certain flower before she passed away. Unfortunately, she didn't make it, as the journey to do so took too much out of her, and she was too exhausted to continue. Cerys walked up to her and tapped her forehead with his tail, filling her with a strength and energy that she hadn't known in a very long time.

As soon as she was awake, he ran away from her immediately to his home. He has never gotten near her afterward, but will find all sorts of gifts at the trunk of the tree at least once a week. The ribbon he wears around his tail is the first gift she ever left him, and one of his most treasured items. Every once in a while, the girl will spend some time sitting at the base of the tree, reading a book or singing. He absolutely loves the sound of her voice and could listen to it for hours. He has yet to emerge when she is around, but she is very persistent. She just wants to be friends with the creature that saved her life.

Perhaps one day she will be.
