What an interesting picture!
I believe my first thought was "Persia", because that image behind Eric looks so much like a relief sculpted into sand-colored stone.
the second was that Eric looks like a young artist facing an audition, the way he clutches his precious work.
But there's really a hint of a parallel, isn't there? The pegasus being hunted down by dogs/wolves, and Eric looks hunted, and frightened, as if a mob or soldiers were after him. And he'd have to be hunted by a group; he'd be able to handle one attacker.
It's amazing how the picture gives so many hints and clues, and puzzling it all together (Eric fleeing from attackers after having just enough time to grab his most important possessions?) is up to the viewer. Lovely work!

I still remember the description on the other webside you're not a member any more. This drawing always impressed me. By details, but also by its meaning and how you succeeded to work this content into the picture. It was also one of the very first of your drawings I have ever seen. When I think of your artworks about Erik, this is still one of the first pictures that comes into my mind.

Oh, thank you very much. *G* Since then, so much time has passed. But still, the picture speaks to me too. And still I agree with its meaning. Sometimes I think, I should redo some of the older pictures. But I think, I'll leave this one out of the plan, because the meaning is very personal. Something, you can't repeat.

This project sounds really awesome. And your art is so beautiful, using traditional media and all. I look forward to it.

A sentiment more common than some of us want to believe I think. I'd love to get more of my writing published but I always seem to loose the nerve to start sending stuff out.
This is a take on Erik that I haven't seen before. I like the mix of the man and the carving.

*sigh* This kind of image gives me an image of my own... lieka moment he may have had beofer the masquerade ball, having second thoughts about handing his opera over to someone else when really he should've overseen all proceedings himself. But more than that, it looks like a true moment of vulnerability: what if they don't like my work? type thing. It's so beautifully poignant and I want to hug him. Then again, I always want to hug him... *sigh* Another masterpiece. Doesn't seem to matter what medium you use! Fave.

That's not the only thing he has fears of.
Margarita: My Erik's face has brought on some fear of other humans.

I think about this piece, a lot. I saw it about a month ago, faved it, and it's been in my mind, ever since. He's such a darling. I just want to put a hand on his shoulder and reassure him that his music would be the best thing ever to happen to the world of the arts. Or maybe, just the world. I really wish Erik existed. It's sad just how impossible of a character he is. I love him to death. And his timidity in this piece just breaks my heart. He's so adorable! Well done. Thank you for doing this.

this is beautiful, Erik looks so suspicious and yet this is what I pictured him to look like. He has alot of charm and he doesn't look like a monster which is what alot of people portray him as.
