Obrigada! (:

Oh, thank you. I'm glad these colors worked for you, they look quite bland in the thumbnail.

There isn't much I can do, the thumbnail is generated automatically. No matter how I bring the contrast up on the main file or even if I save it as a PNG, it looks bad because DA doesn't know how to deal with certain values variations and dark colors, pixelating everything. *sigh*

I understand what you are saying. Some time ago, another artists gave me the suggestion to keep in mind how the aspects of the pictures would read in a small view, such as a thumbnail. And it was explained as important because so many places online people may see the thumbnail before the full view, so it's a good idea to consider. It is a really helpful thing told to me so I'm happy to spread it too. I hope it helps.

I know that, but in this case in particular it's a print. I can't sacrifice the picture and butcher something that looks good in the original size (and even in thumbs with higher quality) for the sake of a 150px-and-60%-jpg-quality thumbnail.
The advice you heard is good indeed, it's important to check the thumbnail when working, but I wouldn't consider it vital because it might go online on a gallery-like site like deviantART. The picture should read well, that's it. The thumb helps you to quickly determine if the shapes, colors and composition you've created are working or not. ;D

I think that is a wonderful idea, it should add to your versatility because you will be able portray from your own metal image!
