The once proud and successful tribe of the Cougar spent their last days struggling for territorial control. Due to a series of unnatural changes, a long and merciless dry season fell upon the inhabitants of the wild Kibwe savanna, forcing the local tribes into a race for the control of the little resources left.

The Cougar tribe was one of the many defeated by the older, bigger and stronger tribe of the Lion. The Cougar King, Jumaane Gunju, was killed in combat and his only child, a girl named Eniola, was taken along the few survivors left.

The unfolding of this events left the little girl scarred and mentally weak. Unable to regain her fighting will, she was soon renamed "Gwala" or "coward" by her fellow tribe members.

Many years after the first Demonic invasion, Gwala Gunju keeps the name, but has become one of the most fierce and skilled warriors across the Kibwe plains. The details of her awaken remain a secret, but she now leads the now united tribes in search of a new and prosperous future.
