An Aqua Mouse Pokemon, Marill is very good at swimming, able to swim in strong currents with ease. Marill have excellent hearing and can remember the sounds of any Pokemon, which allows it to avoid predators. It feeds on aquatic plants, and will often anchor its tail to a tree if it needs to fish for food in strong streams. Marill has waterproof fur, which makes swimming easier, and the bubble at tip of its tail is filled with a special oil that gives it buoyancy in water. Marill evolves from Azurill and into Azumarill.

Marill appears from the Poke Ball in Super Smash Bros Melee, and uses Tackle, running off the stage while damaging those in its path.

Marill is playable in Pokemon Unite, evolving into Azumarill.
