First of all, I wish to thank all of you for the 10,000 pageviews mark
It is truly a moment for my DAHow time flies, Macross is celebrating its 25th anniversary and very soon, they will air its latest Macross tv series-'Macross Frontier' somewhere in April. Rejoice
Yer' Macross Airheads!I remember my first Macross experience which I saw this robot (VF-1J) capable of transforming into a jet fighter and it was on a kiddy swimming tube back in 1986-87. Later, they started to air Macross series on TV, which dubbed in Malay and soon followed by Harmony Gold's bootlegged 'Robotech' series which dubbed in english.
Here we have 3 generations of Macross Variable Fighters: VF-1J Valkyrie (1982), YF-19 Alpha 1 (1996) and the latest VF-25 from 'Macross Frontier' (2008) Last but not least, the venerable SDF-1 Macross in the rear.
This is for one of the best mecha animes which also inspires other shows like Transformers, Zeta Gundam and other transformable mechs. Do you remember LOVE?

Very nice! Always good to see fan art of the true Macross shows on the internet. I also really like the three generations you chose; very appropriate given they are the beginning, middle and (currently) the end of the 25 year Macross franchise.

The think is I had tried to scan some drawing I had to the PC but the effects doesn't look so good. especailly when the painting is larger then the scaner :/

I used to think watercolor is hard to control, until a professional told me that watercolor should be persuaded, not to be forced, be bold at washes and be careful with the details.
What more, I think going traditional is the best way to prevent online lineart plagiarisings and the safest way to keep the masterpiece without worrying the PC crashed.

I love the watercolor! keep it up! Saw Macross Frontier premier episode (came out in DEC) loved it! Then I got really mad when I found out that the series doesn't officially start until April.

Damn, I still have the Yamato 1/60 YF-19. Too bad the QC of the toy's left arm cracked. But that can be fixed if I could find the glue.
But this is awesome, even when you put the Macross itself in the background. It's still refreshing to see traditionally paint work here. Would've expected Focker's plane in the limelight instead of Hikaru's 1J, but I guess Hikaru deserves it.

I need some sort of special glue, as I've heard the material of the toy, ABS, is very, very hard to glue. Something called Plastruct or M.E.K. or something, which I have no luck in finding.
