Moleskine again, A5 and my wonderful Polychromos pencils. From screenshots.It turned out that listening to Beastie Boys really helps to draw the left one...
I wanted to have something characteristic and... characterizing, and at the same time joyful, Kirk smiling brightly (bruised but happy - his typical state in new films) and Spock smiling gently, to take them every day together with me in my notebook and to feel myself happier looking at them. And I love what I got.

Oh one your art pieces seemed similar to a pice of art my art teacher had shown us in class (as an example), but I could be wrong now that I think about it.

I've never meant anything like this, because it's all about strong friendship, and not even an allusion to any sort of lust between them. As for me if you love someone it doesn't mean that you should immediately kiss and undress him and touch naked body and whatever else lots people draw( It's just my honest opinion though.

No offence intended, I totally understand your point of view.
In fact, I conceive both points of view, either the trustfull, deep friendship, without anything amorous between these two
or the love affair.
[Zachary Quinto being gay, and Chris Pine loving having fun with Zachary, in a kind of "bromance" relationship in real life, this was however not too much irrespectful for them - I however fully respect your point of view]

I know who ZQ is, but this is not him, it's Spock ^^ Jared Leto changes girlfriends at the speed of sound, but it doesn't mean he can't play a gay and a transsexual winning oscar for it. So that's a bit of difference between an actor and a character, and I love such pairs as Holmes+Watson or Kirk+Spock just because they return to me this forgotten feeling of deep clean friendship and - more - soulmateship and even love that means connection of two souls. Again I repeat that I may be wrong, but it's what I think and what I love with them.

I think all this it more of matter of fan imagination, projection of dreams, fantasies of each of us, than a search for a "global verity".
