papier-mache bjd. (one of the kind, 29 cm tall)His name's U.
It has taken much time to make him - two months or some more. There was some problems with ball joints in legs, and I had to remake them. So I'm not quite content with the result, but most of problems are solved and the doll is finished.

It has, but takes much time and efforts. Papier-mache is rather capricious material, but I like to work with paper because it's warm ...somewhat alive - don't know how to put it in words better.

How did you attach the hair so naturally? I saw you mentioned something about silicone. I would love to learn, can you tell me about it?

It's the wig. ...well, my English is poor but I'll try to explain:
1. At first you are to make silicone cap. It will be the base for the wig.
Wrap doll's head in cling wrap, then coat the doll's head with thin layer of silicone. You can form the silicon layer with the help of your fingers wetted with soapy water (for silicon not to stick to the fingers).
2. After silicone hardened, take it of the dolls head and remove the cling wrap, edges of hardened silicone cut so that it looks like cap. So the base for the wig is done.
3. With the help of thin needle thread very thin locks of hair through the cap so that it looks as if the hair grow from the cap
The cap should be really thin to look natural on doll's head so the work is quite time-taking.

Well now... he has a wonderfully sculpted chest and abdomen, so maybe a sort of elven kilt get-up? Leaving his upper half bare but still affording the chap some modesty
And no one looks unclassy in an open waistcoat
