^ My reaction after finishing this piece
I'm over the creative block and I finally managed to make a non-Web 2.0 layout! I worked on this a few minutes today, last night and a few hours 2 days ago (when I started it) to be able to stay up until 3AM to see the US Open Ladies Final
(And Kimmie won, so double WOOHOOoo) 
The color scheme was the hardest part. It started beige, then i made it green, then hot pink, then dark purple, then dark gray (added B&W filter) then lowered the opacity of the B&W filter and I got this color.
The font I used is Myriad Pro (my all time favorite!), Icons are from at least 3 different packs (here are some of them):

The leafs from the header are basic photoshop shapes.
There is no navigation because this is a simple 1-page photography portfolio. No big texts, everything on one page. Gallery, contact form, a little something about the artist.

Nice, clean, simply and wonderful! Love it, although it seems to be a bit dark at some places. Especially if you sit in light rooms - like me!
And i know how it feels if you pick a certain color and end with a totally different one lol. But that's how creativity works

What's corporate about it?

The dark and sobre color scheme, the engraved font, the desaturated colors.

When you say corporate I see web 2.0, a navigation menu, very formal speech (not "hello, my name is..."), and definitely no ladybugs and butterflies

Btw. i forgot to say that the text: "my name is .... "
i could make it in 2 lines not 3 .. then the viewer don't have to scroll too much to see the works. (i have a notebook and my res. is 1280 x 800 and i need to scroll a bit. Just a suggestion.

Everything just perfect. Love the colors/icons/font/boxes. My opinion is that you could make the contact form to put it horizontal. I mean: the message box could be on the right side of the contact boxes (3 boxes) and move that all a bit to the center. And the disclaimer info you could smaller and make it wider.
But it's only my idea.
