i wonder---
is the extended areas around the model (in most of them) done on purpose?
Otherwise--
i wonder--for example on this image
what it might look like with the top half cropped off--perhaps bringing more visual attention to the model...

I guess the extended areas are left on purpose - i do try other ways and crop them more, but i always find that the shot feels too ... cramped that way. Like the model needs more space. In this particular shot i kept the area around her because i really liked that alleyway and buildings, and i wanted to keep that perspective in the final image.
But i understand what you're getting at, and i'll definitely try to bring more attention to the model in future shots
