when i saw your screen name, i thought it was the title for this photo.
i thought it was the most creative thing ever, considering tv is like a venus fly trap for men, and a woman would obviously be the inspiration to watch it.
guess i was wrong. xD
excellent photo, nonetheless.

This shot has echoes of a old film by Spike Milligan called 'The Bed Sitting Room'. It was set in a post-nuclear-holocaust England, and one of the characters played by Frank Thornton would walk around this bleak landscape, the kneel down behind a tv without a screen and read the news. The film had a very surreal edge to it, yet behind the thin veneer of comedy lay the extreme reality on nuclear war.
I hope this makes some form of sense. It's a pity the film has never been released on dvd as it deserves to be seen by a wider audience.
Enough babbling, great shot.

It sounds like a movie worth seeing. It is a shame that it's unobtainable.
And I am glad you like the pic.

Alas this is just one of many films which remain hidden from view. I last saw it on British tv maybe 15-20 yrs ago. Since then it has vanished. It was a bitter sweet film with moments of blissful humour, and a subtext of horror where everyone gets jittery about mentioning the bomb. I hope that it does get released one day, as it's an important film though hideously overlooked.

Perhaps someone bothered to do it already, i mean digitalize it, and it can be found somewhere.
