Description
This is my half of an art trade with the lovely *Heterodoxy-Pix !I'm getting a beautiful photograph of a peacock in return, so that was the main inspiration for the dress and colours in this picture. Also *Heterodoxy-Pix asked for something 1920s, so I looked through some amazing Art Deco fashion books as well. Any excuse!
The original is mixed media, mainly watercolour and markers, but the gold details are done in acrylics and there are some highligts in white ink. Background added in PS using a pattern by ~ultimategift , I've been dying to use this pattern as I absolutely love it!!

I love how you have captured the essence of the Flapper here: a liberating sense masculinity paired with sassy femininity. The use of peacock feathers is inspired and perfectly captures the style of the period. A beautiful work!

By the way, I have been wanting to paint a 1920's/1930's travel poster with people in it for some time. However, I am absolutely rubbish at drawing people and thus restrict myself to aircraft and buildings. As you positively excel at the stylized Art Nouveau / Art Deco style for portraiture, I was wondering if you would like to collaborate on a piece. I could paint the background and any buildings/vehicles, and you would populate the painting with figures(or some variation of this arrangement).

I'd love to collaborate, but I'm afraid I haven't got much free time atm as I've got some commissions to work on and I don't want to overwork myself.
