Oh, well... as I said, I present you crappy FMA fanart
Done in: Opencanvas3E and Photoshop for retouching
Days spent working: a whole week, but with lotsa breaks (I dunno, really...)
Number of times I wanted to jump out of the window: lost count
Sorry for the large res, I just didn't want to crop it down any more You know, too much details lost and something like that (like there were details to begin with )

One thing, if the colours look horribly out of place, or too dark or bright, scream
Having an LCD monitor does that lil' wonder that every colour looks different on it than it does on a regular RGB one. So, it may look okay here, and look horrible other places, and I don't want to wait 2 days to check it out in the school computers

I swear I'll think it over a hundred times before I start working from scratch next time. It was frustrating, but oh well. The anatomy is a bit off in places, I'm aware of that, but I liked the faces enough to keep me from dumping it in the e-trash

The japanese sentence means (roughly) - Was it really equivalent trade? (a hundred thanks to mufurc and eea, for helping me piece it together )
It just occurred to me, while we were creating theories about the series, that the human transmutation Ed and Al attempted was a sorry excuse for the touka koukan rule. I mean, what did they pay and what did they get?
Al lost his whole body, along with the majority of his memories (that continued slipping away slowly), and didn't get anything in return. He does not age, does not feel, cannot cry, cannot even hug his own brother, the last thing remained for him from his family. Only has his voice and his indestructible body, and a thinly painted soul-binding array inside of him. Really...
Ed lost his leg, and was granted a chance to look inside the gate. This gave him the chance to bind his brother's soul to a nearby armor. It cost him his arm. But all in all, they didn't get anything for that lost body and lost leg, only lost their remaining childhood (though we now know what become of their mother, and honestly, it'd have been better if she was left dead...).

Only thing remains for them is each other, and in my opinion, the have the strongest brothership I ever witnessed, real or just fictional. *huggles Ed & Al* Poor things
