On clip I just choose the 'export as animation' option, select GIF and then upload them with no problems ;0;

just draw a picture lmao
when you upload the gif on DA, it asks you to upload a preview image for it.
You just click the little pencil icon up in the corner and, instead of changing the main file, you click 'upload preview image'.
then, when you submit it, the thumbnail is what's displayed ^^
