Brilliant! I love the use of such a vivid red and black; they create a very effective contrast so the whole painting feels dark and dangerous. I especially like all those broad brushstrokes; it emphasises speed and power and gives a raw kind of feeling to the whole piece. Very powerful stuff!

Thank you very much. The splash was a sheer stroke of madness which occurred while i was painting in the kitchen. Apart from the canvas, the paint also landed on the wall, my face, hair and white shirt. Thanks God there was no food around (the paint was cadmium red). I Spent the next half an hour cleaning everything up. Lesson learnt: do it outside!
