Description Gosh darn, if this isn't one of the sexiest cars ever...

I just bought one!!! an '89 Nissan 300zx Fairlady Twin Turbo!

This was just a quick 30 minute manip, but it turned out well enough that I can't stop drooling over it.

Hey mate, nice work And congrats on getting a 300zx. You won't regret it! I have a 1993 j-spec fairladyZ (non turbo). I have done quite a few mods, and just recently did my 100,000km service (on my own which was a bit scary!) Hoping to get a TT engine one day and rebuild it with bigger turbos, then swap it into my NA

They are gorgeous cars.
I am hoping once summer comes that I can begin to restore the interior and exterior. The car's definitely seen better days. But I bought it so I could learn how to work on it!!

Good luck with your hopefully soon to be engine swap. You wont regret it. Trust me!

Well mine was in great condition (hence the reason why I bought an NA over a TT) but there is always stuff to do on her, and I have gone from knowing nothing about cars 2 years ago, to being able to pull half the engine apart for the 100k service! Its a really amazing and interesting car to work on. Very rewarding, and I love finding out more about it each day. The TT swap will be a big job, plus I don't really have the money atm, but I am determined to do it one day! It's the kind of car that you buy and never want to get rid of!

Good luck with the restoration! Where abouts are you? I am guessing northern hemishpere, because its summer and about a million degrees here in Australia!

Yep, Canada. T'is cold here, so I gotta wait for the sun to come out in order for me to start pulling body pannels and t-tops off the car.
But you're right, I don't want to get rid of it! I wanna make it bettah!

I got an 89 Fairlady TT as well! 5 Speed manual, with an HKS intake / exhaust combo.

I painted the wheels black, the brake calipers red, and swapped out the original steering wheel with a Momo Race edition. Also got a guage pod on the A pillar.

I hate right hand drive cars, but I can deal with it. This ride is fast!

Hey now, Yarises (or Yari??? Whats the plural? I dunno) lol.
Anyway, the Yaris is actually a pretty nifty car. And ridiculously good on gas. Like, unbelievably good on gas.
If you want some performance out of it, just throw on a cold air intake, modified headers and exhaust, maybe some lighter pulleys and you can take it from 108 horses to probably 120, without really hurting fuel economy. And since its a fairly light car, you'll really feel the extra ponies.

speaking from the experience of doing 180 without realizing it in my moms '98 toyota carola

Cars and design are my 2 passions in life. Sometimes I even get to combine them!
I don't know how you could do 180 in a corolla without realizing it! Where were you doing that?

he highway.. past a bunch of semi's... and between semi's... at night.. o_0
they make me nervous..
did you hear about that semi in edmonton on monday? driving on the wrong side of the road going too fast, driving eratically eventually hit one barrier bounced to the other and crashed into the ditch bursting into flames.. its was on the yellowhead.. scary shit

I saw the video of it. It was messed! Poor dude fell into a diabetic coma or something.

I'm over trying to go fast on the highway. I brought my car up to 200km/h between calgary and cochrane a few times, but I've come to the conclusion that I was nuts to do it, and therefore I drive relatively safely these days. Especially since I dont wanna lose my liscense!

hahha always a good call yea i dont actually drive.. that time i was "learning" with my dad and had a mini case of lead foot.. im hoping to get my licence sooon though.. but... yea.. hahah im not a fan of speed.. i like watching speed in controlled sitations.. i like the IDEA of speed... but i dont like being in speed. haha

and as for that guy i hope he wasnt going into diabetic shock/coma... he be giving me a bad rap! well.. i supose not me the person.. but.. you know.. me the "disease"?

Its good to be knowledgable at what you do, even if its just in regards to something "insignificant."

I used to work at petland. I knew a lot about fish. People would ask for me specifically as well because I'd be able to help them out.

Oooh boy, I loves me the 350Zs too, man.
I went to the local auto show last week and sat in the 08 model. Effin beautiful car for sure! I can't afford one, so I want its predecessor. To be honest I almost prefer the 300 for its more streamlined look. But I'd be more than happy with either!
