I just bought myself some ecoline watercolors, but I'm a bit intimidated by their bright colors... I love what you were able to do with them here though! do you dilute them a lot?

The vivid colors of ecolines was a little problem for me at the beginning too, they not layer one on another like watercolor exactly, it is easier to make even darker color different by lay some vivid color on it, it not work on watercolor so, everything on dark will be dark also. I don't know if you understand my messy English babble
Anyway- in this case I used only pastel colors (they can be achieve by diluting with water, but I bought pastel rose, pastel blue and so on and I like them a lot) that's way it is so light and not flashy
Sometimes I use very light gray to turn of colors a little bit.

I think I got the gist, thank you for your advice! I will definitely experiment with both layering and the light gray addition... I didn't get any pastel colors, I only have the really vivid ones to work with. But thanks to you I can try some new things now ^^
