Description
For my wonderful friend Saeg whose support has long deserved a gift of gratitude from me! So yeah, Allen Walker drawn in my interpretation.. (which is not knowing him or D.Gray-man at all) xD So apologies if anything seems off ^^Done in pastels, and a small amount of paint.

how come I am 4 days late here? oh right I am always late ;v; anyways, this is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G as usual, Caitlin!! I am really scared of semi-realism since the nose...omg I can't even draw a decent nose but you...you drew it like it is easy as drawing a little cutie doodle. good job as usual and merry Christmas (wow I know I am late)

Oh my sweet Mother of Mary Herself O.O YOU DID SUCH AN UNBEFRICKINCREDIBALEVABLY FANTACULAR JOB I am just blown away, at a loss for words over how beautiful and intelligently-composed this piece is. I knew I was challenging you with the white hair, and of course the unfamiliar subject matter.... but you really don't let anything stop you, do you? I can't even believe how perfectly you captured his face, both in appearance, and in expression. And the cross!! The cursed arm!! The collar and bow!! As usual, your execution is as masterful as your composition. Smart and talented. And it all adds up to make this incredible gift.
Excuse me, I'm going to go stare at this piece some more, and try not to emit audible squees of amazement at my desk. And you, you have yourself a fantastic Holiday. I couldn't be more happy with this :3

I adore it, even more now than I did initially. I'm sure it looks absolutely stunning IRL, those pastels must give such rich and vibrant colors when you see them with your own eyes
LOOOL I couldn't make it too easy for ya, could I? xD I think you completely rose to it, though, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I dunno, I've always had a blast working with artists when I request compositions, and for me it's fun to see how a given concept will manifest itself under that artist's hand, especially when they're given the freedom to do as they like

Well you're definitely able to see their true texture and colours IRL! My scanner here is not nearly big enough, they're all like A3 size haha, plus scanning apparently gets rid of so much quality… I do use PS for enhancing, it makes a difference just by increasing the contrast or cropping :3 do you go through the same process with your work?

I bet it's truly stunning, having done battle with my own scanner (well, my office's), those things eat color like a thirsty man gulps water >.> Loool, you're so pro, I use a ghetto combo of MS Paint and MS Office Picture Manager, I tweak midtones usually, and I clean up linework and background marks and smudges from the scanner with some serious MacGyver-grade paint tool and crayon tool work in MS Paint. I should do a 'speed-paint' recording of my post-scan cleanup someday, you'd all get a huge kick of how 'bubblegum-and-shoestring' my digital techniques are xDDDD But I guess the short answer is, yes, I do a fair amount of digital alteration to my works, depending on how much I feel they need :3
Well, you're obviously getting closer to your goal. Honestly, Caitlin, you've improved so visibly in your art across your gallery, I have no doubt you'll be able to do whatever you set your mind to. I believe in you, my friend!! \:3/
