With my astigmatism I have a hard time with 2d planes so it looks great to me (if I took out a ruler maybe I could justify your statement, but I love that you did this work)

lol i dont like thick chunky things... i'm more of da vinci fan, i like chiaroscuro and all that fun stuff. if you mix oil paint with a medium called liquin, it thins out the paint which means it will dry faster, but it's still workable. you can do glazes of oil paint to build up a painting by mixing it like that.

instead of linseed, try using some safflower oil instead.. its more liquidy i think... but yeah liquin is fantastic. make sure you get sythetic sablette brushes, they work great. a fan brush is key for smoothing and making things smoky.
