It's a movie based on the game. Trailer came out a day or two ago.
Already looks like it might be the best live action video game movie of all time, and I haven't even played Pokémon since Gen 3.

Just looked it up. The CGI looks so strange. But I suppose that is about the best you can do when keeping the style and trying to put them in real life.
Although in nearly all movies like this, they focus too much on an annoying human boy that is as interesting as a piece of cardboard.
But what they shown looks kinda cool.

It just looks so hilariously bizarre. And I can't help but think the voice of Deadpool doesn't fit that smiling Pikachu's face at all.
Also, it's an action movie with darker tones (well, darker than I'd expect from Pokémon anyway). Totally crazy. I love it already.
I can't wait for it ....... to come out on DVD 5-ish years from now so I can watch it in the original English dub instead of my country's localization which will most likely drag the whole thing down.

Well would it be better if it was voiced by a cutesy Japanese girl saying edgy things? But I do agree, its a bit strange. But he is a rather popular actor now.
Your country? Oh I was wondering why you typed with a German accent. You must be from Germany. I meet so many Germans here in DA.
Some of my German friends say that most movies suck due to bad German dubbing. and nearly all the movies they want to see are American movies. Although I would be under the impression that most young Germans can speak English fluently. I heard their is a theater in Berlin that shows movies in their original English dub.

Hmm. Okay, they also add the German subtitles during the English movie which I suspect would be really distracting, but it's certainly better than having to wait years to get it on DVD.

I only heard about it from my German friends, so I don't know the name of the theater. 
Since you live in Berlin, you should have no problem checking out that theater.
And yes, subtitles can be distracting, one can't help but read them.
