Description
This picture is of the RS Legendary Pokemon: Jirachi, Deoxys, Latias, Latios, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, Regice, Registeel, Regirock. This picture is meant to be paired with an RBY/GSC Legendary Pokemon picture called 'Salvation'. I always recognized the older Legendaries as important, must have Pokemon. Where the newer 10 are destructive, chaotic, and personality lacking. (Even Zapdos has a sense of humor in contrast.) As well, this picture is a good show piece for the fanfics I write involving the Legendaries.I wanted the Legendaries in both cases to look serious if not aggressive. If it weren't for the incredible lack of faces (Deoxys, and the Regis), this picture would be far more expressive. Also, never reference the sprites before the official art is out. This is how you make Deoxys look really wrong.

Looking back, there was an insert in a Pokemon manga #20 That was titled The Armageddon and depicts every legendary up to RS duking it out.

I love this pic...mostly for quality and proving Deoxys' evilness...
But Lirachi and Latias as I recall are completelly non-violent.
Latios and Raquaiza however...while not as evil as Doexys and his pals...would probably fly into battle mode if they got the chance to take on the older legendaries. Especially Mewtwo. They're so VIOLENT!!!!!

I've seen better, more accurate sets.
I wouldn't put it past them to at least have the capacity to fight. A lot of Pokemon can if deemed necessary. You are right about the lack of aggression from those two in any case.
Older Legendaries? I'd presume most of that set is pretty ancient aside Latios and Latias (which must be practically be the equivalant of a middle-aged human). If it was the D/P set, then they're extremely old and likely insanely overpowered. At least statistically Mewtwo is very strong and still remains among the leaders when it comes to certain stats.

When I said older what I meant was the old school ones like Mewtwo, Mew, and Celebi. And statistically speaking Mewtwo is only outdone by Arceus the Creator. So if Mewblade is superior to Mewtwo then I'm fairly certain she could handle the lot of them...unless they ganged up on her.

Hmm, I actually find Deoxys to be kind of cool, despite its strangeness. There are far uglier Pokemon in RS, trust me.

i agree, the new legendary pokemon, other than latios latias and jirachi (my opinion, though celebi was so much better than jirachi) are so evil and weird compared to most pokemon... rayquaza looks like a YuGiOh Monster XP and the regis... i REALLY dont like the regis 
anyway, i love the drawing, it's really really good, esp. considering what is being drawn lol
I think you have a lot of expression in it... the lack of faces kind-a works with the evil theme, which is really set in motion by jirachi's really unfriendly countenance. YOU COLOR SO WELL!
