I played through your game a couple of weeks ago, unbelievable stuff! I've been curious about game art myself and how one does spriting above the eight-bit scale. So I ask you - how do you go about making these sprites

God I love/hate this boss! He is the most original boss I have ever known, but he is hard as the year is long!

M.A.C.E is my second most favourite boss in a long time (beaten only by General Tor from Iji). I would just like to say now that you did a marvellous job with the first phase of his boss fight. Here I go, running down the corridor to fight the final fight... only he gets a bit bored and decides to meet me when I'm at my most vulnerable in a corridor where I can't fire back at him. This part of the boss fight was great because, in a way, M.A.C.E was the final level. The level itself was trying to kill me. That was intimidating. It's for this reason that I find the second phase largely underwhelming in comparison.

Lol one time, just when it changed from left hand to final head, I somehow stepped in his fist when I tryed to exit the building, and since he was swinging it wildly, he pushed me to the stratosphere diagonally. After 7 seconds off-screen, I finally appeared again, only to fall to my death by millimiters.

For the first two phases i did some experiments with physics engine and found out that i can deform and move huge structures of the level. Some sequences from the final phase were in design document from the beginning (it was not for the final boss though, and initially it was taking place on snow levels).
And i did jump around the table, looking what kind of moves i can do XD
Also i had styrofoam thingies that i used as a squeezable model of the corridor. Yea, styrofoam was harmed during the making of this scene.

Don't worry, styrofoam was harmed for a very honorable cause.
So some of the punch attacks were initially meant to be dealt by the Armed Dropship? Interesting.
I still see that first boss as an example of how having a common concept (most typical dropship) and adding a cmpletely unrelated idea to it (ARMS!) can be excellently done and provide unique results.

Damn bastard just wants to look cool after killing me xD.
Though, if he gets the kill while in third plane, he will finish the attack sequence, come to second plane, and then go back to third plane for the cool pose.
And BTW, what does M.A.C.E. stand for? Mechanical Andromorph... Confetti Enterprises?

For the lulz, try letting yourself get killed by the bosses and don't touch any button until they end their attack seuquence for a good laugh.
