PHEW ! ! ! I finally finished it X3I have to say, it was a lot of fun on working on this one
And a lot of time and patients. Everything here is done on Photoshop CS2.

The picture:
The red hair kid-name: Gehn
Mermaid-name: Ouata
story:
Gehn, who visits Ouata anyway as he can, since his parents always wonder and gets paranod when he doesnt come back home for lunch or dinner. The only time he could see her, is during the day, since she, Ouata couldnt come in the dark, sonce HER parents think its dangerous. So, during the day, Gehn visits her, to talk and have a little....fun...
~~Ouata always wonder what Gehn would look like if he was a merman XD But in the same time, she wishes to be human, so they could go where ever that Gehn wants to go, then staying on the shore. But, Gehn Loves hanging out on the shore, and LOVES swimming with Ouata in the water, though...she can be a little rough XD
Gehn Lives not far from there, he lives in a small island, away from cities, well, theres no cities on the island at all, but very small villages. But ouata, lives far from the island, and her father always wonder where she swims off too, but hopeing, that nothing will happen to her.... But, her father is trusting her, but needs to be home before dark !
they both just hope....that they will be together forever, and hope not to be seperated..
What path there heading too? Never no......

No, I didnt draw the background , Its all photoshoped, using mostly paints brushes.

ooo also I love da way u do the skin on ure pics, I absolutely suck at shading skins! I can never get it to look natural!

hmm, well, when i color the characters, when i color there skin, I usually decreese the "fill" on photoshop..
in the ways, do you have photoshop? ( im sure you doo)
But here, study this, to see how I colored the characters.

It took me awhile to figure it out how to color the characters the right way...always make sure you decreese the "FILL" so the skin color would look brighter and not as dark DX
So, just take a gander on the LINK i sent you ( you could ignore the doodles on it lol)

-chuckles- i really hope that it really helps you ! And when you are coloring the character, use a "Airbrush" I think it makes things look smoother, especially on the skin X3 And Usually, when I decreese the "fill" I put it at least around ( 60%- 65% )

If you find something that is not perfect for you, the only way is to fix it and practice really hard. Even I feel that some of my arts are not perfect, and Im sure a lot of people feel the same way = D But, if you keep up that hard work of yours, That hard work will soon pay off, and you'll will feel confident about your work more. = D

hmmm...I drew and colored the character in one night, and then, the next day, i photoshopped the scene, which probably took 2 to 3 hours, only if you know what you want on the scene, and the perpective and all, and have it all pictured in your head, it wouldnt take very long.
DX but, its worth it.......
