Part of the Collab for Gen 8.For this I mostly did the Shield Dex Log:
"If you're too loud around it, you risk being torn apart by the claws on its tentacle. This Pokémon is also known as the Forest Witch."
What better area in the Galar region to do something like that than Glimwood Tanlge~? Especially since it's the road to Ballonlea and to the Fairy Type Gym! Granted Hatterene is only seen in Lage of Outrage, Hettrem is found in Glimwood Tangle. *shrugs*
A logoless version was sent to the group for the collaboration purposes.

Thank you! I had a fun and challenging time with this one but I wanted to challenge myself with dimmer light sources compared to much more brighter and lighter sources, so I took this as a challenge for myself. The fact that the Shield's dex info gives us the part about Hatterene being considered a forest witch was the perfect opportunity as well.

I am very quietly appreciating the new knowledge that those are dangerous claws and not just a fancy hat decoration. Also the forest atmosphere and the lighting are just fantastic, especially the very dark and dramatic shading.

I'm gonna be honest this background and shading was both fun and a major challenge solely because that entire area is dark as heck unless you touch da mushrooms. So using the mushrooms as the only sole light source for the pic was bew to me.
I'm glad you like it! I was 100% concerned that it would've been too dark to depict if the Hatterene was normal or Shiny (even though it is normal colors), so it's a relief that the colors are noticeable to be the normal palette ^^

Tbh I didn’t expect any of the new Pokémon to have a shiny with so little difference in the color palette, so it didn’t cross my mind here. But now that you say it, I can definitely see that it’s blue and not white.

TBF as well Hatterene doesn't have that much difference when it comes to colors either with the Normal and Shiny forms but I heavily tried to make sure that the gradient was Blue then Pink then white :3
