Just felt like replying:
I just take this Gogo as being both Didi and Gogo in one body, which could explain why she acted the way she did in her 'early' days. When Didi was emerging, she was already aware that the way that Gogo was acting was 'wrong' for the day and age they were in so she set to changing it. And it worked - Didi is Gogo's mental potential in the same way that Gogo is Didi's physical potential.

it's always fun to watch characters evolve visually, and it's fun to actually have a hand in the process. I'm glad it's notable

This. Picture. Rules. I get so bored of static unmoving charcaters but this one is full of life, bendy and wild! You really have a talent for drawing motion, almost animated images. The clothing and the hair are all reacting perfectly to the pose she's kicking out which really adds to the flow of the picture. Very fluid and well balanced piece this is ^^ Did you color this one with the grey pens too? because im loving the digital overlap going on. My fave thing about this picture is the positioning of the wrists and hands, very good exressionfilled work there, which dictates a lot about her personality.
Crit wise i'd say that the background is slightly too 'solid' for the foreground art, maybe if it was slightly paler, but i still love it, and dude you draw the best feet ever.

er, anyway...i think this is the first time a character itself influenced the way i approach drawing entirely. I usually tend to draw static and uneventful poses, but Gogo makes me wanna draw movement and dancing...i almost wanna dance myself, but that's another story (see "Death and Mayhem in an Impromptu One-Man Mosh Pit - A Pictorial")

I can vouch for the man, he makes a damn good drunken fighter. I have ended up on the floor a few times thanks to him....luckily I never spilled my beer(that would have been sacrilege)

Gogo vs. Haruko? Hmmm....they are kinda cut from the same cloth, aren't they....although Haruko's got that mean gee-tar and can hit things with it.....Gogo can be badass but would probably just put her headphones on and do ninja kicks across rooftops....
