Got me thinking of how in RPGs, some equipment requires minimum character or skill level... It would be interesting to see a game that allows equipping higher level items at a penalty or with a limitation to the player. For example, a rune staff that drains mana or slows mana recovery while equipped if the character is not quite high enough level to wield it without that penalty. Imagine a sword that requires some minimum strength level but can be equipped at a loss of attack/movement speed or a bow that does a higher damage with arrows but maybe doesnβt have as much range or accuracy.
It could even be elemental types interacting with a player - like a fire type weapon that a player is required to wield for a certain quest even though their water elemental basis would dull the weaponβs effectiveness or if carrying it would have a negative effect on their βnatureβ elemental basis.
I donβt even play games since a few years ago! Lol I just wonder what people would find interesting if I were to program a game.

Or maybe how a paladin can choose to wear unholy armor to sneak up to a level boss past undead minions (at the cost of constant HP drain as with poisoning in other games) or if they can choose to fight the monsters instead for XP.
