What CAN I say? only thing that proved a small problem was 2 things:1)~I haven't drawn a 3/4's view for almost a year in that form(I did draw a few with a different angle)...nor have I ever drawn Mars...
2)~that back wing in the far left bottom corner, could not get a good angle on it>.>
but I do like its transluecent wings ^.^and I guess I can atribute it to Mars being closer to us than over a thousand years ago o.o

if your worried about how Mars looks you could look for references, though I think it's just fine considering the syle. adore the see through wings though. makes it look more "out-of-this-world"

I did, but I stopped due to the fact that I had Photoshop 7 just laying about and I couldn't save layers on GIMP

Eh? You can save layers on GIMP with either .psd or .xcf as a file type. xcf saves even layer types, while .psd can be opened as layers in most other photoshop programs.
But Photoshop's nice too.
