So... where are the rest? 
There is something fascinating in the metal crowd, not looking like average citizens. The same fascination goes for the feelings of anticipation and excitement you can see on their faces before the concert and a kind of release and fulfillment afterwards.

Maybe you should consider paying a visit to Tuska festival in Helsinki, Finland one of these days. It's in the city area and lasts for the whole weekend, giving the average citizens plenty of opportunities to catch glimpses of those 25-30 000 metal heads attending the festival.
On the other hand, it is great to see also some elderly people in the audience, like ladies 60+ years old pumping fists in the air, maybe together with their daughter or even granddaughter. Talking about role models...

I got the chance through the organizer/club owner. So maybe you can ask them, when there is an awesome concert in a smaller location than a concert hall
