You know, I have to ask: how's that cigar taste? The one the yinglet in the fourth panel is munching on?

I just realized that I gave no thought to whether or not the cake was edible, throughout the entire drawing process. As long as it serves its purpose as a stand-in for a metaphorical monster to slay, it's probably not important!
...Then again, they would probably want to scurry in afterwards and feast on the fallen beast's metaphorical innards afterwards, so yes; by that logic, it is definitely is some sort of seafood cake.
Clam cake, mmm.

Man, how do you always get the best commissions? OR you just get regular commissions and you somehow manage to make them this silly?

I get the feeling that something about my art/comics tend to attract fun ideas.
And/or people who have fun ideas.

Oh, this is just a sort of alternate-universe commission for fun. I expect that in modern times, they might have overcome their gender disparity, and do things like weddings.

Also sergals have a terrible reputation for cannibalism and rape so I'm not sure if putting them together at all is a good idea.
Then again strange times make for strange bedfellows.

I would think that father and son-in-law bonding, with Yinglets and Sergals, would involve a little more mayhem. A single trash can on fire? Bah! A good chunk of the city block would be more like it.

They don't, in the main comic, but here in commission land, anything goes! This is more of a standard, modern-day take on them, where the male/female ratio is closer, and they've adopted this whole "marriage" tradition.

rphb In reply to Valsalia [2016-11-07 18:52:02 +0000 UTC]
thou should insist to only do commissions that falls inside canon, it gets really confusing otherwise.
and are these two species even compatible, as far as I understand it, a yinglets penis is only the size of a pinky finger and that things thing I would estimate to be the size of a bull. Wouldn't he tear her apart if he tried anything?

stevenpusser In reply to rphb [2016-11-12 18:36:00 +0000 UTC]
I assume the answer is the same as in a Simpsons Halloween episode; plenty of yoga exercises beforehand on the bride's part.
It seems that in this timeline, the yinglets have adopted even more human culture, so the battle over cultural assimilation must have been over long ago.

that dosn't really solve anything, as the other poster said, perhaps plenty of yoga exercises for the bride have allowed her to handle this thing, as for the other problem, it could be a donkey-horse situation we are dealing with.

Was the Bride's father a high rank yinglet, or it is easier (and common) to search back the father by the traits. And also: That's a loot of fe-males.

Valsalia In reply to potyka [2016-11-07 18:31:10 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, in this modern-day (commissioned) take on them, they've probably taken care of the gender imbalance, and changed the old mating systems to resemble more monogamous-type stuff.
