Description Lets face it, we've all been here before;  that moment where you just lay back in your bed wide awake at night and just ponder as your thoughts run rampent in your mind leaving you restless, sad confused, depressed even as you sit there and wonder "why"?
-Why am I here?

-What haven't things changed?

-Could my life have been different?

-What am I not doing that I should be?

-What must I change?

-What must I do?

-What must I think?

-What must I feel?

-and so on....

We've all been here before, heck even I tend to find myself here alot when I think about some of the things that have happened in my life that I just wonder- "could things have been different?" Maybe they could have!! For all I know, there could be a number of things in my life that could have happened differently if I'd just done something or hadn't done something that I should or shouldn't have done.... God only knows! But the past is in the past, I cant change or undo whats already been done, can't roll back the clock to make that change to find out what would have been different if I'd only done something differently.... but as hard as this is to say, and maybe some of you even to accept... its "better" this way, and here's why;

Because our pasts shape our character, they give us things to look back to, remind us of what we did "wrong" so we could grow from those times, learn from them so "not" to repeat them in the future, and also even reach out to, or encourage others "not" to repeat those same mistakes we made! Whether they listen or not isnt important, all that matters is what "you" do with what "you" know "while" you can to "avoid" finding yourself in that same state of idleness or regret that you found yourself in before, or maybe are currently working through now. So what then do we do when we find ourselves here? Rather than entertain the thoughts that lead us to question our choices and existence while Satan MOCKS us in the the corner of our rooms.... "pray"....

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

As  scripture says; don't dwell in your thoughts and grant them leverage to consume you gradually and painfully every second you lay there in bed waiting for the night to pass you by, confront them, bring them before the throne of grace  that the Lord may lift these burdens from your shoulders and help you to see and to understand clearly what you must do from here on out! We cannot change whats been done, and we may not be able to erase the thoughts that haunt us from our pasts, either from the mistakes that we've made, or the things that have been done to us.... but we most certainly have a choice to decide whether to let those thoughts get the better of us, or to say to our thoughts, SHUT UP AND BE SILENT IN THE NAME OF JESUS, FOR YOUR WORDS DO NOT AND WILL NOT DEFINE ME, FOR I AM DEFINED BY THE ONE WHO DIED AND ROSE AGAIN TO SAVE ME FROM THE LIKES OF YOU!!

And yes.... I wont deny, for some of you, perhaps this is "easier said than done" of which, hey... I can most certainly relate to that... it is a challenge, a battle, a war of the mind and heart if you will.... but from experience I assure you, its a battle worth fighting for, because of the one who for every day since the beginning of time from the moment man first sinned kept up the fight for us because he saw in us something worth loving enough that he was willing to die to save. Christ kept fighting to save me, and you also, so for those of you looking for a reason to keep up the fight, do it for him, because he did it for you~

God bless and be strong fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

As for those of you among the viewers of this content who "do not" believe or know Christ yet are also facing these battles, I pray the Lord touches your hearts and that you too find it in you to seek and know Christ as we do, that he too may help you over come the troubles of your minds~

It's easy to dwell when either lots is happening or nothing seems to be going right, but it's more meaningful and worth our time to give our thoughts to the Lord, to surrender to him wrather than leave ourselves open to attack by the enemy

This is very encouraging. As for someone who's adverse early-life experiences now leave him defined as an individual who, for some currently unresolved reason, cannot feel any sort of pleasure in anything he does, leaving him stricken by unceasing boredom with a limited range of emotion.

But this reminds me to pray. I need to bring my troubles to God through prayer and humble supplication. It's like I keep forgetting His love and power. To be honest, I've had my faith on the backburner for years. I guess it's never too late to start now.

Thank you for this, it helped a lot. God bless.

I'm the world record breaker at the amount of lost time to these thoughts multiplied by the amount of lost health to the sleepless nights caused by those thoughts divided by the amount of talents and potentials I have in my life.

Thank you for your encouragement~ I like the perfect timing of how people actually confirm my deep thoughts RIGHT in the TIME when some priests or "you shall obey"-ish people tell me otherwise *cough*.... Romans 13 *COUGHH!!!*. Case in point, God's providence and approval is the empirical evidence of my worthiness He has given to me. Same is true for everyone else who seeks reassurance at the level of what only the Creator can give. For whoever is reading this comment and afraid if you believe enough to be saved or if your salvation depends on your faulty cognition from depression/anxiety, the truth surpasses that faultiness because Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life. You want to live, you want to know the way so you're searching, and you want to figure out the truth. So if you seek, then you will find. God bless you!

Valorbuddy, thank you again for this! Too bad you don't like cuddles because I'd definitely rub that belly and feed you with cookies as an act of cherishing and rewarding a likeminded for such amazing reassurance ^^

If what you are referring to in Romans 13  are the verses 1-7, the purpose of those scriptures is to remind us of the importance of law and order. That yes, while we do have freedom in Christ, the freedom we've been given was not freedom, "to" sin, but rather freedom "from" sin, and as the scriptures mention, here, these terms apply towards lawbreaking, criminal activity and the like- that we aren't to take pride in doing what is wrong or to  be passive towards it, but to see it for what it is, "wrong", something not to take pride in but rather to repent of and turn away from. That is its purpose and what I believe the prophet Paul was stating here when sharing this message. As for the rest of what is shared, it continues on both in identifying what "not" to be partakers or practices of, and further more identifying again what love is, and "how" love fulfills the law of Christ.

Romans 13:8-10  Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.  The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

and in more detail as to what truly defines love as said in Corinthians.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Just thought I'd give a quick clarification on this subject here, otherwise yes, it doesn't matter what you face in life, no matter how big or small the weight of the trials may be, there is no trial to great that the Lord isnt able to help someone with or deliver them from if we both seek him first and also his will and guidance for our lives, where ever that may lead.

And uhh..... while I do appreciate the thought, as I mentioned to you before- there's a proper time and a place for that, but with "anyone", "anywhere" outside of a closed relationship between male and female, and further more as a married couple "isnt" the place as it can give mixed views or misunderstandings both to the individual and those viewing, no offense man, but please understand this-

thank you again for your comment and thoughts none the less, God bless~
