About the design:

So.... ever since the first season of my "Ask Rice" comics, while it was indeed a great experience and one I'd indeed like to start up again soon, one thing that for a while was feeling a little bit offseting was the fact that while it was meant to be more of an "ask my characters stuff" rather than an "ask the artist" I still ended up getting a number of questions that felt more directed towards me as an artist rather than cannon questions more suited for my characters to answer- of course at first I thought nothing of it and still went about answering the questions as Valorice anyways, however... after the season ended and the more I began to reflect on it, I remembered that my initial goal for Rice, while yes, him being my main character /sona, and mascot character whom most of my plans and projects revolve around, was "still" soley a story based main character and not directly "me" even though much of what I put into him IS in fact symbolic references to myself and what I stand for as a man of God, and as a person.

That being the case... knowing this cycle would likely repeat should I start season 2 of ask my characters- yet not wanting to reject answering questions that would be meant more directly for me as an artist, I figured... perhaps I should consider making a character to serve as my "face" or "self insert" like I once had in the past with my previous sona, Shaun Snow before he was retired along with all projects relating to him. For a while I wasnt exactly sure "what" to do for an artsona though since the last thing I wanted was to make a character that would steal Valorices fire and ultimately replace him.... a couple of times I thought about just bringing Shaun back however... as simple as that may have been, on a personal note, there where just a number of things about him that for me... I just wanted to leave in the past as a memory, not something to relive again so to speak.

With that having been settled, I wondered about maybe starting with a new arctic fox character- LIKE Shaun, but not him, however for me, that didn't feel like enough to settle what I was looking for, additionally, as for me, I wanted this character to be something simple, quick to draw, nothing fancy or complicated, something that to me would just flow naturally and quickly, like it did for Valorice.... and thats when it hit me... while not my first choice, I recalled how many times in the past, and even in the present, many of my character concepts had been mistaken time and time over FOR YEARS (long before I ever made Valorice even) for being "rabbits" or "rabbit like, even if it was completely unintentional.... and at that I thought... "Well if it be true that Rabbit designs really DO come that easy for me... and I DO like rabbits anyways... why not just go with a snow themed rabbit?" I then remembered an old concept design I'd started a while back taken from the inspiration of the pokemon Cinderace, and also Judy Hopps and the Jack Savage character concept from Zootopia and decided, this would be my starting point here! The only thing left at that point was just the name.... Like with Shaun, I wanted this character who would be my "cartoon self" to have ties that represent or contain parts of my original identity attached.... the name "Shaun Snow" came from my experiences back in 2012 where the Lord in his grace saved me from suicide and changed my life, and thus... in discovering the name "Shaun" spelled with "au" meant "God is Gracious", combined with the english translation to my real last name, which is literally "Snow" it was the perfect fit.

It was a hard name to top for sure.... but then in looking back ay my current username; "ValorRally" which was meant to stand for "Gathering the courageous" I thought to myself... "well I already used Valor as part of my main sona, Valorice.... but for Rally, that for a while has just been part of my name and nothing else..... but what if I were to change that?"

And so from this my new artsona.... Rally Snow was born, not to take the place of my main character Valorice, but rather to fill in the gap that for some time, none of my other characters could fill!

And there ya have it! ;D

So yeh, while this guy may not have any real story attached to him aside from being "me" as a cartoon, and there for proooobably wont be getting as much screen time or works related to him unlike the rest of my cast, never the less I hope you enjoy this concept design and the works that may follow featuring him in time!
