During the "Golden Age" of superheroes Stella Russo known to the world as the cool collected crime-fighter Frostbite, was one of the first premier super-heroines to make a name for herself. Being the first of her family bloodline born with the power to freeze water, create ice from her bare hands, and even conger chilling winds, Stella quickly took a liking to the exhilaration of being a superhero. She had even been asked to join the first recorded super team of the states the Frontliners and was among their youngest members. Needless to say Stella's younger days with a thing of glory.

But not everything could last and eventually Stella fell in love with a handsome, young Ceratosaur business executive, Vito Mancini and married before being pregnant with their future daughter, Lori. (Who would later become the hotheaded super-heroine Firebreak) However the timing proved fortuitous as the Frontliner's ranks soon dwindled; some following Frostibite's example and retiring while others fell in battle. As heartbreaking as it was Stella felt that life was far behind her.

Years later, after Stella's retirement brought a life of luxury while gaining a "few" pounds Frostbite would soon be called back into action when an old foe, too strong even for her daughter Firebreak, would return. It was only too well that her old costume still fit. (If a bit snug in places lol) The thrill of crime fighting would soon return and the world would soon see the rise of a newer, if somewhat plumper, Frostbite!
