I painted this last weekend in a nearby open air museum. The building is an old shop. I attempted something between impressionism and realism, and worked pretty quickly to keep it lively. I guess it turned out ok. It's no match to Nilo [link] but you can't always top yourself.

Perhaps, more importantly, I got my first real commission while painting it (family aside). Some middle aged woman asked me to do a portrait of her son, which is good, since commissioned portraits are exactly what I would want to do at this point. But that's not until october.
