"From the frozen north come brave, even reckless, warriors. More civilized people call them barbarians or berserkers and suspect them of mayhem, impietry, and atrocities. Vikings are infamous for their raids to neighbouring villages or even lands beyond their homeshores where they pillage, rob, and kill for riches and land."A viking I doodled up. I like this very much, personally. It came out better than I hoped.
At first I drew it with pencils, but then I wanted to add some colour there, too. I left the pencil work in the pic to give it a sketchy look. It complements the pic nicely.

well this would be a paid commission, a digital version is fine actually if it could be layered or even vector it would make my job if incorporating it even easier.
what I need it for is this, I am creating a label for someone who is creating a product that has Scandinavian/Viking roots and he would like an illustration of a viking on the label.
I've designed everything else, but I am not so handy with the drawing of people...
I am still in talks about whether your style is the style he is interested in, but if it is, I'd be willing to pay you for small illustration depicting a viking very similar to this but with a sword rather than an ax.
let me know if you are interested and how much you would charge for something like that.

Sure, I can do that. I can get some practise in my area of studies at the same go, too, so it works for me just fine.
As for the price, I think $25 would be a reasonable sum.

i really like the pic =-) i recently found out that Vikings never actually had horns on their helmets...cuz they were too heavy in battle. its kinda interesting how everyone depicts them with helmets. im not bad mouthing your picture at all, its just something interesting i found out recently. very good job
