Description I really love water, in all its forms and i was really looking forward to seeing this 80 meter tall waterfall, one of the biggest in Balkans. Unfortunately it is a seasonal waterfall and there was barely any water there. I can imagine that during spring, after all the snow has melted this must be a really nice sight to see. I must absolutely go back there one day soon…

This reminds me of Ansel Adams - because it's so big and ambitious.Β  I really like the tree-line at the top of the ridge, and the deep tones of the tree branches on the left. The saturation is flatter than I think you typically choose, but I suppose most of the color would have come from the foreground and your subject sat behind them. Quite a tricky shot, wasn't it? And it looks like the sun wasn't much help either. Way to make it work!

Ansel Adams? Wow...hehehe. Well, i thought of making this photo black and white at first, since the color was not so great but the light is also not helping, so i left it like this. It was a tricky shot, great observation. I guess the hardest part was that there are so many things in the frame, it was hard to create a focus on the waterfall which was not at it's full glory The branches of the trees that are closer to the camera were actually a lot darker, if i tried to pump up the saturation a bit more they looked totally unnatural. The previous photos were taken a bit earlier in the morning, the sky was cloudier and the sun softer, when we reached this point, the sun was starting to get pretty harsh and it certainly wasn't much of a help. That's the problem when you go somewhere with a group, you cannot choose the time. We went to so many nice places at the worst possible times...Midday is certainly not a good time to take photos, especially when there's a clear sky...That's why i need to get a drivers license, find myself a cheap motorcycle and roam the mountains

Yes, It looked like the sun was being obnoxious toward you. I think the sun always knows it is in charge; and it causes us trouble sometimes just to remind us of that little fact.Β  And no license????Β  Wow - that must be frustrating! I suppose it is not that easy to get a license where you live, or you would have it already. Well, in the end we all do exactly what we have decided to to and nothing else unless it is by accident. When you decide to get a license, I doubt that anything short of a stampede will stop you.Β Β Β Β  Oh.. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!Β Β Β  DA tells me it's your birthday in a couple days (unless you gave them a fake date, in which case I wish you a HAPPY FAKE BIRTHDAY!!)Β  Β

Hahahaha...Thank you very much Nathan! It's my real birthday, yeah i'm turning 29 for real
You were the first one to wish me happy birthday so your wish counts more...(don't tell the others)
About the license, it's really expensive especially in the current economic situation. Even if i had a job i'd need 3-4 monthly salaries to get it...So yeah...I'm still waiting to win the lottery
