I wonder if Takeru received any form of whacking since he is the only one who never gets smacked nor called out by his friends because of his constant whining about darkness in canon material. And here they are.

For obvious reason, I pick Daisuke, Iori, Ken, and Yamato to execute a punishment game called Operation: Whack Takeru.

  • Daisuke: That’s for constantly messing with me, bastard!
  • Iori: Please realize that not all darkness is evil, Takeru-san!
  • Ken: This is a payback from punching me in our previous dogfight at my base! Do you feel it, Takaishi-kun?
  • Yamato: Takeru, open your eyes! Even though you’re my brother, I can’t let your lose your way into the darkness!
    • Note: this artwork is never intended to spread Takeru-hate. I just wanted to show my sadistic side towards this blonde as he deserves to be punished because of his canon characterizations (though the writers can be treated as a scapegoat because of this).

    Since Takeru does not get punched nor slapped in canon material despite his errors.

    I think Takeru deserves to be punched.

    You know, right? Since he is the only one who does not receive the whacking from his friends despite his errors (punching Ken/Kaizer, being obsessed to destroy darkness).

    And thinking about it, yeah, T.K. was pretty much the only person among the New Digidestined that didn't get slapped or punched...and I think Davis/Daisuke got hit the most...Was there not really any good opportunity to have Takeru getting hit out of his mood...or were they trying to portray him as morally superior and thus, didn't deserve one?

    From what I've heard, there were just too many cooks in the kitchen. Still, through all that, Davis/Daisuke is my favorite character of 02.

    Yeah. Digimon ZT had two headwriters with different ideas, so that is why this season is full with many plotholes and inconsistencies. The absence of Adventure writer made it worse.

    Speaking of which, do you think Takeru's portrayal in ZT is similar with Yamato in Adventure (in my opinion, it is true)?

    Well, they are brothers...but other than that, there's not much similarity to Yamato in my opinion. Then again, I don't know why you consider them similar.

    In my opinion, ZT!Takeru resembles more to Adventure!Yamato in terms of looks and personalities. He is prone to have such infamous angry look, even when he is supposed to be happy with his friends.

    Again, Takeru's characterization in ZT is screwed up because of the bad execution.

    There was a lot that wasn't executed properly. Never stopped me from enjoying the show for what it was worth anyway.

    Ummm, I guess you have not read the warning on the artwork itself. It says that the artwork is full of OOC-ness of the characters themselves (which I purposely did here).

    For your knowledge, OOC is an acronym of Out of Character.
