So I've finally watched Disney's Frozen, and liked it
. I already have an idea for a fan comic with the characters - here's how young Anna will look like. It's a bit rough, but as a design pic it will do the job.

I haven't seen the film yet but from what i have seen she looks really like her when she's younger .Β

I'm glad you think so, I tried to make her looks as close to the original as possible, but using a cartoon/manga style.. when training for it I tried copying a few shots from the movie, but it's actually quite difficult to make that look good, because in the movie they are actually more like dolls, so I think it's not best to get too close to that.

Well trying to draw characters from disney which is already 3D and they almost never stand still and pose :3Β

I've already started on the first episode, it's going to be a short one, one or two pages long, but it definitely won't be finished before the next weekend. It's a lot of work and I'll only be able to work on it next weekend

Two months? That's a lot, the biggest problem is you might lose the determination to do it after such a long time

It's nothing revealing, just a TMNT fan comic, as many other. But I have a little hope you and maybe a few other people will like it whet it shows up. Time will show

I love a good movie, so I'm glad you like my favourites
I have a rough script for the comic, right now I have 9-10 separate episodes, mostly independent of each other. But they'll be short 1-2 page comics, so there's not much of a story. And I'm not sure how many episodes I'll actually make, since I want them to look good and I'm a bit of a slow artist (and I don't have much experience drawing comics - I could learn, but it takes a lot of time and effort).

I agree with you, making comics is quite difficult. What some tend to do is find a certain way to draw a character that is simple, and has less scop for error. While this makes the characters distinguishable, they aren't very appealing. It seems you want to avert this. If your previous art is anything to go by, I think you'll do an amazing job at this

You mean they make them less realistic and that makes it easier to draw? I guess that's right, and you're right I don't want to do that, even though that would probably be an easier way to tell a story (since you can make more pages quicker).
What I've looked at as an ideal goal (and used for training) is the official Frozen comic, like this page . Even though it doesn't look like much at first sight, you need a lot of skill to be able to draw that way reasonably quickly. All the characters have visibly different personalities and different body types with natural poses, the animals and backgrounds are nice as well. It takes a well rounded artist to be able to do all of that and I'm a bit worried I might not be quite that good yet. But I'll try my best. Thanks for your trust
