Oh, yeah? You'd have to be fast... to snatch it from me! XD ^^
It's unusual, well done and, for sure, with a fascinating story... all I like in this kind of books ad novels.

Personals: The best: Rotor, from the Sonic series
The worst: Wally Walrus, from Woody Woodpecker

I had a book growing up called "The Diverting Tale of the Radish and the Shoe." The Radish and the Shoe in question were the best of friends, and they lived in a book together with all the letters in the book.
It's a great book. I recommend it.
And I would probably buy a book about a delusional walrus for my children. But I also grew up with Edward Gorey's "Gashlycrumb Tinies," so I have an...interesting idea of what children should be reading. =]

It could not POSSIBLY be more disturbed and bizarre than an actual animated cartoon I saw on the Nickelodeon one Saturday years ago. My room mate at the time liked Nickelodeon and MTV; we turned on Nickelodeon before going out to breakfast and stood rooted to the floor in stunned amazement.
Itchy the Ringworm and Bloaty the Tapeworm were doing something at home on their dog. I believe Itchy's boss, a flea, had shown up and he offered his boss a nice scab to sit on. Some other stuff happened, and then disaster for the bugs struck in the form of the dog getting flea shampooed.
I'm not sure how long the episode was, I have a feeling it wasn't really, but we were just ...so... stunned that this was on a real kid's tv show, on Saturday morning, prime cartoon time. What The Blinding HELL possessed whoever made that cartoon? It made Ren and Stimpy, who are actually made for teens and adults, tame in comparison.
So if that could happen, why NOT Walrus and Radish? There is, after all, Cow and Chicken.

Oh my god, the blinding cheerfulness of Walrus' face (and also his overstuffed green satchel) has me totally won over.
And hey, I loved Calvin and Hobbes. I don't see how this is so different.

You can tell your agent that I would completely buy this book. At least two copies. If children are expected to handle 'Oh The Places You'll Go,' they can handle a book about a Walrus and a radish.
