Hurray for theories this is a speed paint. Her theme may be "I May Fall" in which she is was at one point in deep depression. Probably someone from her team if she was part of one died. All that is left is Mercury and Emerald. The leader or her partner died as well as team later on would disband. Years later, Emerald and Mercury have come together to help out Cinder in any means possible of making her happy. On the other hand, she doesn't want to show weakness in front of Roman or anyone else that is not close as they find it her weakness. So she tends to act nonchalant in front of Roman to show her level headedness.

Theory number 2: The previous leader of the White Fang died. The leader of the group must have some sort of connection with Cinder otherwise how else would they team up? Stealing dust was meant to have power over those who rely on dust heavily. Releasing grimms were part of the plans of starting from scratch within the town so cooperation from faunus and humans. It's like starting a purge. So why was the last battle a sucess? She managed to get attention of the public that they needed to be ready and prepare for the next wave. (Meh, I likemy first theory a little more.)

For a new change she would have her hair styles as more serious and mysterious.

Someone like Cinder can have the potential of having a dramatic backstory. Roman on the other hand likes being a evil shown as he has no trouble trying to injure others. If either theory is wrong, I will remove it. I really want a dark story from RWBY that's executed nicely. x3
