Description So, this past weekend, I ran a quick, minimal prep D&D game for my players; I wasn't ready for my next big Fallout game, and my friend had had a rough day at work, and wasn't up to running his game, so I used some tips and tricks from the book "The Lazy Dungeon Master", combined with a few ideas I'd had bouncing around in my head for a while, and had a really fun game. The players had a good time, and so did I.

Wanna talk about lazy, here we have one of the maps I drew up for the game.  Granted, I had this and the others drawn up before hand just from my random drawing the previous week, but in all honesty, all these maps took maybe 15 minutes of actual work to complete, completely free hand.  Since I didn't want to clear off my scanner, and the binding of the book might have made it awkward anyway, I snapped pics of the maps with my cell phone camera and did some brightness/contrast work (not any significant amount, mind you), and uploaded them to Roll20.net's online game table I made for the campaign. And believe it or not, these maps scaled to the grids almost perfectly.  Very cool, and very easily done.

Oh, and 'S and G' was my name for the campaign, meaning 'Shits and Giggles'.  Alternate name penned by one of the players is 'Revenge of the Sidequests'. I like both, hehe.

This was the starting map for the game, where the PCs awoke, washed up on an icy shore after a big 'something' attacked their prison transport at sea; and yes, they were the prisoners. Can't have a Skyrim/Elder Scrolls inspired game without that kind of start, eh?

The whole beach smells like dwarf urine. No clue why.
