Thank you that is very kind of you to say. No worries about the filter. To use it you are going to need a lot of sunlight. I am not sure if you have that yet but we don't.

Hey I can send you a process to make a color shot into a IR. If you like and then you can what it would look like if you had the filter.

Well I was over there Friday and posted the images Sunday but from a different spot. Sharpness is better but still needs to be fine tuned. Thanks

I really like the dark sky gradients and cool night mood. Nice image.

Thanks, still have some finer points that I need to get to make these sharper but I am working in a better direction.

Pity it's not sharp, because the scene is just stunning. Really love the colour editing you've done to it - makes it look like something out of a dream...

Thanks I am glad you do and I will work on the sharpening as well. I think a longer exposure and a little sharpening will send this home.

Yea maybe take it at f/8, iso 160 or 125, and a 30-45second exposure should get you a great picture.

Ah really?
Well then 200 is high enough, maybe try taking the shot in RAW then adjusting it if it comes out a little dark after the f/8 step up.

Hmm, this IR stuff is getting interesting. It looks as though the shot is a bit out of focus, is it just harder to focus w/ the filter on or is that a product something else?

You have the coloring down pat. I think that your exposure is pretty good as well, but the focusing is killing you man. Or, perhaps this is another test shot and focus wasn't the prime.
With the other one, I appreciated the warm 'gold' orangy tones. But then you throw something like a duck in the mix and then the sharpness gets lost in that one little aspect, it just takes your attention away...

I am finding that I need to go from the f/4.2 to like a f/8, 11, or 16 to assist with the sharpness. So that will be the test Thursday. To get the sharpness locked and to find a place without BIRDS. LOL thanks buddy.
