You know what crossed my mind when re-watching Slice of Life? What if Twilight goes to the human world, gets caught up in some social activities and meets Sweetie Drops? I mean, given Twilight´s smarts, she may be able to identify pony Sweetie Drops upon return to Equestria, and, casually walking past her, say "Hi, Sweetie Drops."
Sweetie Drops could then catch Twilight in a lesser crowded corner of Ponyville and ask her how she knew her name, and Twilight just tries to get out of it with "I´ve been living her for over a year. I picked up a few things, you know." Sweetie Drops then sais that she has been using a fake name since she got to Ponyville, since her past has been difficult to explain, and then starts spying on Twilight to find out why Twilight knows her real name. She eventually discovers the portal, stumbles through and totally freaks out. But, since she has been taking martial arts lessons as part of her training (at least that´s my headcanon), she has better control over her body, allowing her to move like a human almost instantly.
Until she meets her human counterpart...
