I don't know how well this photo falls under the "expressive" category.But I do know that lately I had been submitting such solemn photos, and this one seemed to hold such a vast difference.
I went to Maui for my 21st birthday. And while I was there, I was happier than I've been in a long time. This photo seemed to really express that.
Hence it being Expressive.

I see it, you seem a happy and a bit of a trouble maker. The shot shifted to the right and the amount of background you left in there makes for a very nice photograph. The colors are a good touch rather then if you put it in black and white, they help to add to the feeling the photo gives off.

Maui for your 21st birthday? the only place i got to go to was my pool in the backyard.
As mentioned before, the eye thing is pretty neat.

The shot is quite good, you ended up with a happy look
The border you added gives a portrait effect quite nice, and i could only suggest a little tweakin with the sea color, its a little to light, but .. as i said just an opinion.
Anyway it's a nice shot
