Not to be rude or anything, but im maori, and your tatto kinda looks like a maori tattoo, but to me it looks more samoan than maori. Still a good tattoo though.

I know its not a maori tattoo, it was inspired by all the great maori tattoo's ive seen. you have a keen eye for tattoos if you can see the difference! You aint been rude, its something new ive learnt today so thanks!

Ooooh, very pretty! It looks like it would have a lot of meaning, though I wouldn't be able to tell you what that meaning was. I really like the cross-hatch, basket-like pattern. It gives the negative space everywhere else more meaning.
