Hmmm, I'd say yes and no.


If anatomy is ALL you focus on, then it's not helpful. But if you have a great story, it needs to look appealing to the viewer. The anatomy doesn't need to be perfect, but you have to make sense of it.

You can definitely tell which ones you referred from Bridgman because of the exaggerated knuckles and mass bodies. Keep up the practice, and either normalize the Bridgman references or exaggerate your personal references. If you don't, you'll lack consistency, and hands done without reference will be a problem more difficult for you to solve.
