I love your work on the custom, but for some reason, the face sculpt scares me.

Hah probably the dirty off white color and pink lips. Otherwise its just TFP Arcee's face but with a nose.

Perhaps. @.@ Still, it's a great custom and you should be proud.

I was super proud of the full team and combined mode right after finishing them. I was very happy with how it all came out and how I made them combine, then it didn't make quite what I was hoping to get at the least, and the buyer was a complete asshole too. Left a pretty sour taste so I don't look back on this set with any pride or good memories at all unfortunately.

Well that's a damn shame. The buyer should have been thankful that they got such a unique piece.

BTW The face on Nancy here is just one of several things I would do differently if I did this more recently, but it is an older custom from 4 years ago (2016 now). But still, I wasn't exactly going for pretty because they are junkions.
And yeah the buyer was an elitist piece of crap that thought he was automatically entitled to me adding extra work and stuff for free just because he owned "some of the best custom figures made by bigger names than me", and when I tried to politely explain that what he was saying was insulting and he was getting only what he bought, he went nuts and didn't even pay for it. I relisted it for a Buy-it-Now of like $100 more and it sold quickly to a good buyer, but it was still a crummy experience all in all.

What an absolute douchebag! D: You're a nice person as far as I can tell, you don't deserve that! D:< And yeah I understand. That would be like trying to make the Quintessons look like Scarlett Johansson.

Well I can definitely be a jackass like most anyone else, but in that instance I wasn't. I try to be professional with customers.

At least you keep it together. Oh, speaking of customs, I only posted one of mine, and it actually isn't in one piece anymore. It was more of an experimental piece.

the colors look good but some parts look like just hand painted(and not that good)
and the face looks from creepy to disturbing

Ouch... The whole thing is hand painted. The off white color took 3 thin cots to fully cover the base coat so on a small figure and up close pictures, you can tell.
Normally I would use sprays as much as possible for a cleaner look, but these are junkions...
That sucks the face is creepy and disturbing. It is the Arcee face, the only part of the head I didn't sculpt, and was painted the same as the show.

while i know you were going for a rusty/scratched-looking feel on the paint, i suggest to spray paint and then scratch it with a screwdriver, and the hand paint some parts
its because you painted the sides the same color as the face, it makes her look like folded cheeks like an odd looking old woman(and the chin gives me the same feeling), and the nose and lipstick while a good idea, with the odd cheeks and chin, makes her look.....well, you get the pint

Yeah I see what you mean about the face. Wasn't much more I could do though to make it look more screen accurate. It looks better in person than up close in bright lights. I should take the usual customizer pics where you see more blackness and shadows than custom, hah.
Oh and your idea of scratching the paint with a screwdriver is terrible. That would show the original blue underneath and make it even more obvious it is paint on a toy. Have you done any action figure customizing? Your critique and advice suggest you are a master toy customizer yet I don't think I have heard of you...

because i dont have any custom posted anywhere, but it doesnt mean i know nothing about it
and about the screw driver....i meant that you could spray paint the figure, then paint again and scratch it slightly to show the underneath paint
the one you are supposed to use to spray paint the figure, maybe some kind of gray or silver to look like metal under the paint)
it needs patience and you have to be very careful while doing it, but if done correctly yo can achieve a very good effect
and actually your actual custom looks really good in vehicle mode, its the paint on robot bits that doesnt look as good as the "red" parts
you can sand down the parts that i mentioned before, to make her face look slimmer, just to fit better the character
and maybe, you could put a layer of clear spray paint to make it look better while retaining the weathered effect
im actually working on a armada blurr custom
(you might have seen the thread on tfw2005, my id there is f-primus-unicron, i said that i wont paint it because i dont have the experience, thats not totally true, i have enough, but i tend to be very impatient, nervous, and my hands shake and sweat when trying to do very little details, and i am allergic to many paint products(specially spray paint) and while i do know hot to use them, i think is not worth the risk and stress) and what i said to you was only an advice, you can take it or not
