Really good work. The proportions are great, and I like the sharp lines. If you really want to do better with fabric, just remember that it's all just shadows. Clothes are no different than faces when drawing.

No, I still haven't bought one. I use my fingers and/or a cotton.

Invest the two dollars. 1,000% worth it. I've done entire faces with just the leftover graphite. It adds an incredible amount of softness and works really well for softening shadows and (obviously) blending. You'll also save a lot of time with erasers, AND lastly, they make fabrics an absolute dream. I highly recommend these.

Haha I'm with you on that.. It's the bigger projects that get me. They take way too long.

Oh my gosh.. No Joanne's or Michael's? Any chain craft store should have them. It's also possible to make your own. Not exactly the greatest project in the world.. But still. And how small is small? I've done small.

Small like less than 200k inhabitants... I have to look after a chain craft, I don't know any here and I don't have friends that like to draw and could help me find one :/

But there are so many things right with this picture! The detailing is beautiful and I actually love the way the clothing was drawn. I think you did a good job of infusing it with different textures, which makes it realistic. And the contrast is lovely as well. You really push the shading, and the results are beautiful. Great work!

No problem! I know, I have that problem too with looking at the original too, but I definitely think that you were able to go beyond the original and really make it your own too ; )
