I think that the lines are much too think around his folds, I would have recommended that you made those lines thinner. Texture of the background doesn't really look appealing to me, the cell shading is nice though, if not a little simple.

Well you don't have to use a texture to have something emanate some sort of feel. A texture is what something looks like when you paint it, it's not just using a texture that you download, such as when you paint a cloud from scratch, it has a light somewhat fluffy texture.
